Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
According to http://osmocom-analog.eversberg.eu/docs/TIA_EIA_553_A.compressed.pdf section "2.3.2 Electronic Serial Number" page 18 line 7, ESN includes manufacturer's code. There is the link of final code assignments by FCC site from internet archive.
It would be nice to incorporate decoding of manufacturers code into normal output during mobile registration.

In accordance with FCC Public Notice CL-97-70, as of August 31,1997, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) no longer assigns manufacturers codes for Cellular Radiotelephone Service (cellular) subscriber equipment. The following manufacturer codes are the final assignments of the WTB.
