The user can override the system vboxplay script by copying it to

Try to be smarter about detecting what "play" programs there are,
and use the one that can be found.

Increase MODEM_RINGTIMEOUT from 5 to 6 now that the timing in the kernel
...
code is correct (it used to be shorter). This was leading to timeouts
between the rings, so that vboxgetty would never react to any calls where
RINGS was defined to be more than 1.
