Have the routines that create them take a pointer to a struct
packet_provider_data, store that in the tvbuff data, and use it to get
the wtap from which packets are being read.
While we're at it, don't include globals.h in any header files, and
include it in source files iff the source file actually uses cfile. Add
whatever includes that requires.

Removed in v1.99.2rc0-399-g43f09e6, but some includes are still needed.
Basically I looked for the functions defined in the
ui/gtk/old-gtk-compat.h header file that were in files below ui/gtk/.
Then I matched it against the removed part in the above commit and added
the header back at its old place. In two other cases, the header was
only needed for Windows.
If the above commit did not reference the file, I checked which function
was in use and added the header on top, removing redundant conditionals.
Reported and tested by a user of GTK+ 2.12.12 on top of v2.0.5.

This makes it possible to trigger reloading Lua plugins from
within a Lua plugin. This can be used when having a plugin to
update local plugins from a external source.
Renamed reload() to reload_packets() to clarify what's reloaded,
and added a alias (marked as obsoleted) from reload().

This is initial support for reloading Lua plugins without
restarting the application.
Still todo:
- Deregister FileHandlers
- Support deregister ProtoField with existing abbrev (same_name_hfinfo)
- Add a progress dialog when reloading many plugins
- Search for memory leakages in wslua functions

Add a FunnelStatistics class, which is the main interface between the Qt
UI and the Funnel API.
Add FunnelTextDialog, which implements the text_window, ProgDlg, menu,
and other routines. Add FunnelStringDialog, which implements dlg_new.
We currently only support "Tools" menu items (MENU_TOOLS_UNSORTED, aka
REGISTER_TOOLS_GROUP_UNSORTED). Add a disabled placeholder to the
"Tools" menu in case we don't load any scripts.
Use "struct progdlg" instead of needlessly casting to
funnel_progress_window_t.
To do:
- Add support for MENU_STAT_UNSORTED, MENU_STAT_GENERIC, etc.
- Make the firewall config generator a Lua script?
- Add FunnelGraphDialog? It seems like it would be useful to
make QCustomPlot accessible to Lua scripts.

Have dfilter_compile() take an additional gchar ** argument, pointing to
a gchar * item that, on error, gets set to point to a g_malloc()ed error
string. That removes one bit of global state from the display filter
parser, and doesn't impose a fixed limit on the error message strings.
Have fvalue_from_string() and fvalue_from_unparsed() take a gchar **
argument, pointer to a gchar * item, rather than an error-reporting
function, and set the gchar * item to point to a g_malloc()ed error
string on an error.
Allow either gchar ** argument to be null; if the argument is null, no
error message is allocated or provided.

The groups are, technically, independent of the notion of a menu, and,
if we have mechanisms by which taps that are not only GUI
toolkit-independent but independent of the *existence* of a GUI can be
registered, they might want to register themselves in a group just in
case they're running in a program that has a GUI.
Also, this might fix the Debian package build.

There's a relatively new feature in 1.11.3 to select a specific file format
reader, instead of relying on magics or heuristics. If you select a file
reader and open a file, open it, and then click the reload-file button or go
to View->Reload or press the ctrl-R keymap, the file is reloaded but using the
magic/heuristics again instead of the file format reader you previously chose.
Likewise, the Lua relaod() function has the same issue (which is how I found
this problem).
I have tested this change by hand, using a Lua script, but I didn't add it
to the testsuite because I need another change for my test script to work
correctly. (an enhancement rather than a bug fix, which I'll submit separately)

The best heuristic can fail, so add possibility to manually choose
capture file format type, so not correctly recognize file format can be
loaded in Wireshark.
On the other side now it is possible to open capture file
as file format to be dissected.

Get rid of more stuff implying that the code for adding menu items is
used only by Lua, as it's also used by register_param_stat().
Add the items to the menu list sorted by the menu item name shown to the
user.
Get rid of some const declarations that are lies.
Use the label given for a menu item as the label in the menu, rather
than parsing it from a token.

destroy events. Only used by Qt so far but it should be easy enough to
add to GTK+.
Rename ui/qt/progress_dialog.{h,cpp} to progress_bar.{h,cpp}. Show a
progress bar in the status bar of the main window instead of creating
a separate dialog. Note that we still need to add a "cancel" mechanism
and display the task and item titles somewhere.
Thus began the War Against Gratuitous Dialogs.

description of existing menus must be accurate: if a name and action are
both specified then the to-be-added-XML must include both the name and the
action.
It appears that the formats given in stat_group_name()'s value_string were
designed to take this into account, but there was no code to separate the menu
name from its action. Adding that separation is complicated by the fact that
menus are separated by /'s and actions may also contain that character. To
deal with that, "escape" the /'s in actions by replacing them with #'s.
make_menu_xml() then un-escapes them back into /'s.
There has to be an easier way to do all of this...
