Dave Chinner 77c1a08fc9 xfs: struct xfs_buf_log_format isn't variable sized.
The struct xfs_buf_log_format wants to think the dirty bitmap is
variable sized. In fact, it is variable size on disk simply due to
the way we map it from the in-memory structure, but we still just
use a fixed size memory allocation for the in-memory structure.

Hence it makes no sense to set the function up as a variable sized
structure when we already know it's maximum size, and we always
allocate it as such. Simplify the structure by making the dirty
bitmap a fixed sized array and just using the size of the structure
for the allocation size.

This will make it much simpler to allocate and manipulate an array
of format structures for discontiguous buffer support.

The previous struct xfs_buf_log_item size according to
/proc/slabinfo was 224 bytes. pahole doesn't give the same size
because of the variable size definition. With this modification,
pahole reports the same as /proc/slabinfo:

	/* size: 224, cachelines: 4, members: 6 */

Because the xfs_buf_log_item size is now determined by the maximum
supported block size we introduce a dependency on xfs_alloc_btree.h.
Avoid this dependency by moving the idefines for the maximum block
sizes supported to xfs_types.h with all the other max/min type
defines to avoid any new dependencies.

Dave Chinner 60a34607b2 xfs: move xfsagino_t to xfs_types.h
Untangle the header file includes a bit by moving the definition of
xfs_agino_t to xfs_types.h. This removes the dependency that xfs_ag.h has on
xfs_inum.h, meaning we don't need to include xfs_inum.h everywhere we include
xfs_ag.h.

Christoph Hellwig 97d3ac75e5 xfs: exact busy extent tracking
Update the extent tree in case we have to reuse a busy extent, so that it
always is kept uptodate. This is done by replacing the busy list searches
with a new xfs_alloc_busy_reuse helper, which updates the busy extent tree
in case of a reuse. This allows us to allow reusing metadata extents
unconditionally, and thus avoid log forces especially for allocation btree
blocks.

Arkadiusz Mi?kiewicz 6743099ce5 xfs: Extend project quotas to support 32bit project ids
This patch adds support for 32bit project quota identifiers.

On disk format is backward compatible with 16bit projid numbers. projid
on disk is now kept in two 16bit values - di_projid_lo (which holds the
same position as old 16bit projid value) and new di_projid_hi (takes
existing padding) and converts from/to 32bit value on the fly.

xfs_admin (for existing fs), mkfs.xfs (for new fs) needs to be used
to enable PROJID32BIT support.

Dave Chinner 955833cf2a xfs: make the log ticket ID available outside the log infrastructure
The ticket ID is needed to uniquely identify transactions when doing busy
extent matching. Delayed logging changes the lifecycle of busy extents with
respect to the transaction structure lifecycle. Hence we can no longer use
the transaction structure as a means of determining the owner of the busy
extent as it may be freed and reused while the busy extent is still active.

This commit provides the infrastructure to access the xlog_tid_t held in the
ticket from a transaction handle. This avoids the need for callers to peek
into the transaction and log structures to find this out.

Christoph Hellwig 058652a37d [XFS] make xfs_ino_t an unsigned long long
Currently xfs_ino_t is defined as a u64 which can either be an unsigned
long long or on some 64 bit platforms and unsigned long. Just making
it and unsigned long long mean's it's still always 64 bits wide, but we
don't need to resort to cases to print it.

Fixes a warning regression on 64 bit powerpc in current git.

Christoph Hellwig 051e7cd44a [XFS] use filldir internally
Currently xfs has a rather complicated internal scheme to allow for
different directory formats in IRIX. This patch rips all code related to
this out and pushes useage of the Linux filldir callback into the lowlevel
directory code. This does not make the code any less portable because
filldir can be used to create dirents of all possible variations
(including the IRIX ones as proved by the IRIX binary emulation code under
arch/mips/).

This patch get rid of an unessecary copy in the readdir path, about 400
lines of code and one of the last two users of the uio structure.

This version is updated to deal with dmapi aswell which greatly simplifies
the get_dirattrs code. The dmapi part has been tested using the
get_dirattrs tools from the xfstest dmapi suite1 with various small and
large directories.

Nathan Scott d8cc890d40 [XFS] Ondisk format extension for extended attributes (attr2). Basically,
the data/attr forks now grow up/down from either end of the literal area,
rather than dividing the literal area into two chunks and growing both
upward. Means we can now make much more efficient use of the attribute
space, incl. fitting DMF attributes inline in 256 byte inodes, and large
jumps in dbench3 performance numbers. It is self enabling, but can be
forced on/off via the attr2/noattr2 mount options.

Linus Torvalds 1da177e4c3 Linux-2.6.12-rc2
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.

Let it rip!
