Johannes Berg ac71c691e6 mac80211: make simple rate control algorithm built-in
Too frequently people do not have module autoloading enabled
or fail to install the rate control module correctly, hence
their hardware probing fails due to no rate control algorithm
being available. This makes the 'simple' algorithm built into
the mac80211 module unless EMBEDDED is enabled in which case
it can be disabled (eg. if the wanted driver requires another
rate control algorithm.)

Joe Perches 0795af5729 [NET]: Introduce and use print_mac() and DECLARE_MAC_BUF()
This is nicer than the MAC_FMT stuff.

Johannes Berg 53cb670042 [MAC80211]: remove unused ioctls (2)
The ioctls

 * PRISM2_PARAM_STA_ANTENNA_SEL
 * PRISM2_PARAM_TX_POWER_REDUCTION
 * PRISM2_PARAM_DEFAULT_WEP_ONLY

are not used by hostapd or wpa_supplicant.

Johannes Berg ca9938fea5 [PATCH] mac80211: fix initialisation when built-in
When mac80211 is built into the kernel it needs to init earlier
so that device registrations are run after it has initialised.
The same applies to rate control algorithms.

Johannes Berg 3ef8bed469 [PATCH] mac80211: kill rate control ioctls
These aren't used anywhere (hostapd, wpa_supplicant) and until we
have a proper interface to the rate control algorithms they don't
make much sense either since e.g. rc80211_lowest won't honour them.

Larry Finger eef6caf8a9 [MAC80211]: Set low initial rate in rc80211_simple
The initial rate for STA's using rc80211_simple is set to the last
rate in the rate table. For situations for which the signal is weak,
the rate may be too high for authentication and association. Although
the rc80211_simple module will adjust the speed, the response may not
be fast enough for a successful connection. This modification sets the
initial rate to the lowest supported value.
